CR Journal Vol. 07 No. 01 June 2021 features five articles covering various sectors with the following titles: 1) Analysis of the Role of Government Expenditure on Improving Human Development in Indonesia's Metropolitan Areas, 2) Human Resource Practices in Edutech Startup Companies at CV. Big Edu Indonesia, 3) Factors Influencing Farmers' Behavior in Adopting the 2:1 Legowo Planting Innovation for Rice in Purwakarta, 4) Challenges of Early Childhood Education in Rural Areas: A Case Study in Kedongdong Village, Susukan District, Cirebon Regency, and 5) The Impact of West Java International Airport on Surrounding Areas.

In the first article, the research results show a positive impact of all government expenditure on human development projected through the Human Development Index (HDI). Additionally, the research indicates that total government expenditure positively affects the average length of schooling (an education indicator), life expectancy (a health indicator), and per capita income. Then, in the second article, the research reveals that startups face challenges in controlling team performance and enhancing team capabilities due to budget constraints. Consequently, the startup employs strategies such as: education from the founder to the team, collaboration with experts to provide training for the team, and building knowledge. This research implies that startup practitioners and the government should pay more attention to the effectiveness of human resources in these startups.

In the third article, the research shows that the adoption of the 2:1 legowo planting innovation is directly influenced by farmers' behavior and indirectly by farmer characteristics, innovation characteristics, the type of innovation adoption decision, and the qualifications of agricultural extension workers. Next, in the fourth article, the research indicates that Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions face obstacles in the teaching and learning process, human resources, and facilities. The school has strategies to address the challenges in learning, such as creating its own books as teaching materials and organizing storytelling programs. In the fifth article, the research findings show that Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions experience obstacles in the teaching and learning process, human resources, and facilities. The school has strategies to overcome the challenges in learning by creating its own books as teaching materials and conducting storytelling programs.
