Vol. 9 No. 02 (2023): Creative Research Journal

CR Journal Vol. 09 No. 02 December 2023 features five articles covering various sectors with the following titles: 1) Sustainable Tourism Indicators - A Perspective on Coastal Tourism in Pangandaran, 2) Effectiveness Level of Green Open Space Availability in Bandung City with CO2 Emission Absorption, 3) Diversity, Dominance, and Role of Insects and Other Arthropods in Community Tea Plantations in Sukahurip Village, Cigedug, Garut, 4) Competitiveness of Bio-pharmaceutical Commodities in West Java During the COVID-19 Pandemic, and 5) Implementation of Online Reading Comprehension Learning for Elementary School Students.
In the first article, the research findings can be used as guidelines for stakeholders to formulate strategic planning in realizing sustainable tourism development. Then, the second article explains that the existing area of Green Open Space (RTH) in Bandung City is not sufficient to absorb all CO2 emissions produced by motor vehicles in the city, with a deficit of **5,504,079.70 tons/year/ha**. This indicates that the number of vehicles in Bandung City has exceeded the absorption capacity of the city's RTH. RTH in Bandung City was unable to absorb the emissions from motor vehicles in **2021**.
In the third article, it shows the role of insects and other arthropods in the tea agro-ecosystem as herbivores (pests), carnivores (predators and parasitoids), detritivores (decomposers), and pollinators. The tea agro-ecosystem in Sukahurip Village, Cigedug, Garut, using the yellow bottle sticky trap technique is dominated by the fruit fly species (Bactrocera dorsalis) acting as herbivores (pests), while the pitfall trap technique captures springtails (Isotomurus balteatus) acting as detritivores (decomposers). Next, the fourth article shows that there are three types of bio-pharmaceutical commodities that are the basis in West Java, namely ginger, galangal, and kencur. These three commodities also have competitive advantages during the pandemic, with a positive Differential Shift value. The opportunity for developing bio-pharmaceutical commodities in West Java remains open given the availability of land and adequate labor. In the fifth article, the research results can be utilized for further research development and provide input on how to optimize the use of applications to enhance reading comprehension skills.
